Paducah & Louisville Railway – 2020 Bridge Program: Timber Bridge Rehabilitation – 2020

The Situation

In 2020, Cooper Contraction was chosen to participate in Paducah and Louisville Railway’s 2020 Bridge Program, in which we were able to assist in rehabilitating timber bridges all across Kentucky.

Cooper Contracting repaired timber bridge components of more than 30 different bridges as part of P&L’s bridge maintenance. The rehab scope consisted of replacing posts, caps, building and installing frame bents, replacing stringers, replacing and resetting ballast retainers and replacing ties
