Indiana Railroad Company – Bridge 121.4 Replacement 2022

The Situation

Replacing a 30-span timber bridge built in 1953 in a remote location

Our Solution

Sometimes it takes a little road construction before the real work can start; like the 1500′ long access road required for this bridge replacement. Demolition on the 1953 timber bridge involved removing 30 spans representing approximately 420 feet of elevated track.  Precast concrete spans replaced the timber construction and now accommodate 286,000 lbs gross-weight rail cars.
